Shorty One in a Milli

I entered 2021 real low-key cause I have so much in store for everyone tuned in to my journey. Whilst others chose week 1 of January to release content, perhaps as a show of force entering the new year, I chose the opposite.

I decided on the last week of the first month cause good things take time and I wanted my fans to salivate in anticipation of what 2021 Drie sounds like.

The How?

Asserting the fact that Drie x Offishall is the linkup you wanna be invited to, we did it again. This beat is one of my favorite from Offishall which is a bold statement especially following Homosapien. However, the guitar game on this beat is sick, coupled with his drum set… the recipe for introspection, it sent me on a trip.

I sat down at my home studio one hot summer night pretty lit obviously and began creating. After about 2 hours of completely submersing myself into the music, the track was done. I recorded as I went so I never actually had a physical copy of the lyrics until about a week ago when we had to make a lyric video.

The What?

One in a Milli is an introspective journey through one of my many premonitions. My favorite lines would be “God on my side im one in a milli” and “they memories hazy now”.

The Why?

It’s a very personal revelation to me which I contemplated sharing with the world but obviously no candle is lit to be hidden under a table. It would be mad selfish and a disservice to the world.
